Viany is the owner of the e-commerce platform degudegu.id, which she launched on April 14, 2025, together with the Assistant Deputy for Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia.
Indonesia Youth Ambassador 2024 for Maluku Province
Viany Juniaty Huwae was appointed as the Indonesian Youth Ambassador (Duta Pemuda Indonesia) for Maluku Province in 2024. She served as a delegate in the Inter-Provincial Youth Exchange Program (PPAP) under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia. Her service was carried out in Central Bengkulu Regency from July 4 to August 7, 2024.
Together with delegates from the 37 other provinces across Indonesia, she contributed to efforts to raise the Youth Development Index (Indeks Pembangunan Pemuda, IPP) and worked hand-in-hand with the government to help realize Indonesia’s “Golden 2045” vision.
2nd Place — Outstanding Young Entrepreneur (Beginner) — National Level 2024
Viany Juniaty Huwae achieved 2nd Place in the 2024 National Young Beginner Entrepreneur Award in the Technopreneur category, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia. From the 500 young entrepreneur applicants across Indonesia, 50 participants were shortlisted — the top 5 in each of the 10 entrepreneur categories. After being selected into the top 5, they continued competing to reach the top 3, subject to rigorous evaluation by esteemed judges, including members of the DPR RI Commission X and directors from major companies in Jakarta. After fierce competition, the judging result allowed her to compete in the top 3 in the grand final. By God’s grace, she was awarded 2nd Place.

Attending Youth Pledge Day at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in Jakarta, alongside outstanding and accomplished youth from all over Indonesia, was a proud moment for me coming from the eastern part of the country. On that occasion, I also received an Award Certificate from the Minister of Youth and Sports in Indonesia for placing 2nd in the Young Beginner Entrepreneur (Wirausaha Muda Pemula) Technopreneur category in 2024.

To realize “Indonesia Emas 2045,” we must move forward from the East — Maluku. On many occasions, education becomes a fundamental pillar, especially in building human resources. The vision of “Indonesia Emas 2045” — striving for improved quality and equitable access to education for all Indonesian citizens — aims to build human resources with high competitiveness. Of course, achieving that goal is not easy. There are many interrelated sectors — economy, education, infrastructure — posing challenges to “Indonesia Emas 2045.” Focusing especially on educational problems: access, quality, relevance, and competitiveness. The rate of educational participation is also crucial — research shows that gross participation rates do not always correlate with the quality of human resources, as measured by various factors.
Eastern Indonesia needs high-quality human resources! Just like in health or per capita income, we need movements of change: leadership, expanding limited educational access by building infrastructure, improving teacher quality. On many occasions, education stands as the main pillar, especially in building human capital. The vision of “Indonesia Emas 2045,” which seeks to enhance the quality and access to education equitably for all Indonesians, remains the goal to create competitive human resources.
Technology plays an important role in every line of life. Yet, unfortunately many of us among the youth in Maluku have not been able to take advantage of advances in science and technology (IPTEK) properly.
